IMI is looking for an experienced, empathetic, and goal-oriented Multiplayer Games Networking Engineer to join our team in Vienna, Austria.

As a member of our engineering team you’ll focus on developing high performance networking code and features for both client- and server-side game logic. Additionally, you’ll spend a lot of time profiling, analyzing, and optimizing network game traffic.

You should have:

  • 3+ years experience of commercial game development
  • A wide understanding of game technologies (especially Unity & the Amazon AWS stack)
  • Strong C/C++/C# skills
  • Proficiency in client-server and real-time networking architecture
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs and JSON
  • Low-level networking protocol design
  • The ability to get up to speed quickly and efficiently with an existing code base
  • Experience with first-party online services (PlayStation Network, Nintendo Switch Online, and/or Steam).

For this position, the minimum monthly full-time salary would be gross €2,898 per month, 14 times per year (IT Collective Agreement, ST1). The actual salary will depend on your qualifications and experience.
